The “Behind The Windows” collection are photographs taken of full or partial storefront window displays around Long Island, New York.
We walk by window displays everyday of our lives. These images show us what Art Rice sees through the lens, reflections and all. Most only needed minor adjustments to get that "mind's eye image." We hope you enjoy them and would be interested in having one or more in your collection.
Art Rice has an uncanny ability to create strong, high-impact images that imprint a unique memory in the viewer’s mind. Art is a photographer and graphic designer. Whether shooting his own digital images or scanning hand-drawn sketches, he takes advantage of his balanced sense of composition and his knack for exploiting his subject’s artistic potential. Once establishing his representational ground, he either uses electronic versions of brushes, filters, etc., to produce images unattainable through conventional photographic tools or simply produces a "what you see is what you get" photograph.
Rice’s art has been published by Personality Posters of New York and KRS Studios, as well as by other publishing companies. His works have been included in Prop Art, written by Gary D. Yanker, in MacWorld magazine, MacDesign, Graphic Design USA, and Mactalk. Also in “Images of an Era,” a worldwide traveling exhibit by the National Gallery of Fine Art.
